ABOUT THE FILM PROJECT
This is a faith-driven story about hope, community, second chances, and the transforming power of Christ. The production is being built through local churches and volunteers who want to use their gifts to serve a meaningful project. We're looking for people of all experience levels. Whether you've acted for years or have never stepped onto a film set, we'd love to hear from you.

Sebastian Guzman
Producer | 1st A.D.
Sebastian Guzman studied filmmaking in Southern California and has built his creative career producing marketing and commercial video content. Home Church represents his transition into narrative filmmaking, where he serves as Co-Producer alongside filmmaker Douglas Vail.
Combining contemporary production techniques with a passion for cinematic storytelling, Sebastian brings a fresh perspective to the production. Working alongside Douglas Vail's background in feature filmmaking, the team is committed to delivering a compelling, faith-centered independent film that reflects the highest level of craftsmanship possible within a community-driven production.
Courtney Robyn
Producer | Lead Actor
Courtney Robyn is a faith-driven actress with a strong foundation in dramatic arts and performance. She studied under the John Casablancas acting program, where she developed her craft through professional training and performance coaching. Beyond acting, Courtney has spent years mentoring aspiring performers and teaching acting classes, helping others grow in confidence, character development, and storytelling.
While Home Church marks her first leading role in a dramatic feature film, Courtney has spent years preparing for this opportunity. Her authenticity, emotional depth, and commitment to the story make her an ideal choice to bring Jesse's journey to life.

Douglas James Vail is an American filmmaker and the founder of Faithworks Pictures, a Southern California production company dedicated to creating authentic, faith-centered stories for a new generation.
As the writer, director, and executive producer of Home Church, Douglas brings together years of experience in feature filmmaking, marketing, and visual storytelling to tell a deeply human story about doubt, grace, redemption, and the life-changing power of Christian community.
